Nigerian man with 86 spouses kicks the bucket at ready maturity of 93

Muhammadu Bello Masaba 'passed away on Saturday in his home encompassed by his family', Salahu Bello, his representative, told AFP by phone from Niger state, focal Nigeria. The man was once requested by an Islamic court to separate 82 of his 86 spouses. As indicated by Islamic law, Masaba was advised to keep just four – the most extreme permitted by Islam.

A sharia court in Minna in 2008 held Masaba in "ignitable scorn of religious laws and contracting unlawful marriage to 86 spouses". Yet, Masaba or "Baba" (father) as he was for the most part called, declined and demanded that no religious precepts were ruptured by him.

All his 86 spouses and 20 of their 170 youngsters dissented in support of him outside the Niger state service of equity. The case was later dropped. Salahu Bello stated, "He kicked the bucket at 93 years old and any individual who lives to that age ought to be required to have wellbeing challenges. Baba wouldn't take pharmaceutical and wouldn't encourage individuals to take solution. That is the means by which he lived. His family is in place. All his 86 spouses were around him when he kicked the bucket."
